Ele tomou posse em sess\u00e3o ordin\u00e1ria realizada nesta segunda-feira (17), em Col\u00f4nia do Sacramento, no Uruguai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSou um brasileiro nascido na fronteira com a Argentina e creio que conhe\u00e7o um tanto as necessidades que envolvem a integra\u00e7\u00e3o com as na\u00e7\u00f5es vizinhas\u201d, diz Bohn Gass. Ele diz que chega ao Parlasul com uma preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o central em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao baixo \u00edndice de com\u00e9rcio comum na regi\u00e3o. \u201cEnquanto outros blocos chegam a ter 50% de seu com\u00e9rcio concentrado nas suas pr\u00f3prias regi\u00f5es geogr\u00e1ficas, n\u00f3s, aqui no Mercosul, ainda estamos perto de 20%\u201d, constata o deputado que localiza na burocracia alguns dos principais entraves a este avan\u00e7o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outra quest\u00e3o que aflige o novo membro brasileiro do Parlasul diz respeito ao fortalecimento da democracia na Am\u00e9rica do Sul. \u201cA extrema direita n\u00e3o tem compromisso com a democracia. Vimos isso no Brasil, recentemente. Foi uma experi\u00eancia traum\u00e1tica que destruiu pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas importantes, especialmente as que atendem popula\u00e7\u00f5es mais vulner\u00e1veis. Agora, na Argentina, projeto pol\u00edtico semelhante est\u00e1 aumentando a pobreza em n\u00edveis assustadores.
